I did make time for one thing, though. Sephora Smart Liner.
Remember when you first tried liquid liner? And you spent hours trying to master it? And all you ended up with was a spidery mess on your eyelids? Or some weird zig zag line? And after all that, you wiped the liner off in frustration and gave up?
Or, if you managed to get a decent line, did it end up so shiny, so that you couldn't even see it? One thing I never understood is, WHY DO THEY MAKE LIQUID LINER SO SHINY? I mean, who wants their liner half visible? What's the point?
Because of that routine, I gave up on liquid liner once I discovered cream liner. Cream liner provides better control and coverage, and is matte, so it's visible from any angle.
Smart Liner addresses these issues in about 30-60 seconds. I tried this out in the store and instantly fell in love. I lined my eyes in less than a minute, despite being squeezed between two narrow aisles and trying to balance a purse on my arm that had god-knows-what in it. This little gadget has a funky shape that fits comfortably in your hand and a felt tip. And somehow, it just works.
Now, I can get my liner done in about 30 seconds, with a clean, smooth, and matte line. It is also a beautifully dark black, which makes it show up well on brown skin. Here is a pic of what it looks like on me. Excuse the mussed eyebrows.

For reference, I am using:
Sephora Smart Liner to line upper lid
NYX Gel Liner in Black on waterline
Too Faced Matte Eye Shadow Collection: Lid-Chinchilla; Crease-Coffee Bean; Highlight-Tufted Suede
And, of course, Urban Decay Primer Potion
If you want to try the drugstore version of this liner, check out the NYX Cosmetics The Curve Liner. It looks like identical to the Smart Liner, and has similarly rave reviews. I have not tried it myself, but may check it out if/when the Sephora liner runs out.
Line in 60 seconds. Go for it.
