Lotus and Jasmine... best friends for coming up on 20 years! We live on opposite sides of the country at the moment, but why should that stop us?? ;-)
Lotus is an attorney but pretends that she is a makeup artist. She loves experimenting with makeup and has done her friends' wedding makeup (including you, Jasmine). She is open to all brands, from drugstore to department store. When she is not working (which is rare) she teaches, shops, blogs, bugs her (awesome) husband, hugs and squeezes her cat, and watches movies.
Jasmine is an engineer by day, and anything but an engineer by night. She has to travel a lot for work (keep an eye out for tips on how to still look human when on travel!), but when she is at home, she loves to read, loves to cook, loves to feed her husband (and herself, and whoever else might be at the house at any given time), loves to torture her teddy bear of a dog, and loves to rock out to music. And, of course, loves anything pretty. Cosmetics are a newly discovered obsession!
(And yes, Lotus did indeed do my wedding makeup, and I must say, it was fabulous. Will maybe post some pics one day...)

Jasmine
I'm about 5'0" and definitely on the squat side. My skin is pretty fair (MAC NC30 - probably used to be paler until I moved to the west coast) and tends to be very dry. Moisturizing is a must and part of my daily routine, and I wholeheartedly embrace the extra-greasy ones (like Nivea cream). My hair, like Lotus's, is typical thick Indian hair that tends toward the wavy, and I've worn it long my entire life. Unlike Lotus, I have no patience whatsoever for heat styling (never have), so I'm big on using any kind of serum/spray/oil/magic potion that I can just put in my wet hair and go (current favorite is BioSilk Silk Therapy). I only recently started highlighting it (caramel/honey colored streaks) to cover the grays that can no longer be contained, but I try to keep it to a minimum. Favorite cosmetic is eyeliner, and it's the only thing I absolutely can't go without.
My fashion sense tends toward the "stylish casual" - I'm a big fan of jeans, even for work (one of the perks of being an engineer), but I'll pair them with a cute sweater or top with a blazer, with lots of chunky jewelry. Heels are a must for my "vertically challenged" frame. That being said, I'm never opposed to dolling up in a dress or skirt to go out with the boy or with friends on a night or weekend - as long as it's not a regular thing. :-)

I am 5'6" and is on the average side in terms of sizing (and Jasmine is so not squat!). I am about a MAC NW35 (a little paler in the winter, a little darker in the summer), or No. 123 or 127 in Makeup Forever's Pro Finish Multi-Use Powder Foundation. I have combination skin. My skin tends to be dry right after washing it (and begs for moisturizer), but I definitely end up getting quite oily in my T-zone as the day wears on (I have learned stress creates oil). My hair type is pretty apparent from my Bollywood hair post, it's NOT as thick as Jaz's (she has crazy thick hair, we compared hair strands in high school under a microscope), and I would classify it as normal. I need some product to keep frizzies away. My favorite cosmetic is also eyeliner and I have to wear that when I go out. I think concealer has become a biggie in terms of necessities too. I have serious dark circles under my eyes that just have to be covered.
My fashion sense is... lawyer. I like to (more like have to) wear tailored suits for court with a nice top underneath. I used to do the collared shirt thing but I hate tucking shirts in. My daily office look is usually dress pants, a cute top, and a cardigan over it. I love wearing cute blouses (printed or with a nice texture or unique cut), but usually have a cardigan on top because I am always cold. Tunics are also a must have for me. I hardly wear heels unless I am going to court (and they have to be comfy for all the walking), but I love knee high boots and pointy toe flats. Anything with a kitten heel is a go for me too. I LOVE dresses with tights/leggings, but I don't have as many as I would like to make them a regular part of my wardrobe.
